Water stains and small loss in the margins. A couple of minor spots at the map.

A map of eastern Polynesia including Tahiti, Cook islands Galapagos and Hawaii. In the top right Mexico and Guatemala. Four insets of Honolulu, Floriana in the Galapagos, Tahiti and a vulcano in Hawaii. Two german ship paths - the Gustav of Hamburg and the Prinzess Louise of Prussia - are marked from the south east of the ocean to Hawaii in the north west. The map was executed by Hermann Berghaus in 1848 and published in 1852. It was issued for the second or third edition of Stieler´s Hand-Atlas.
