A hand colored fashion plate from the famous magazine "Magasin för konst nyheter och moder" (Magazine for Art, News and Fashion). A monthly magazine published from 1823 to 1844. (A direct continuation in a new format of "Konst- och Nyhets Magasin för Medborgare af alla Klasser", started in 1818) Boije was in charge of the magazine througout its existence. The magazine is an important forerunner to later illustrated periodicals as well as an important art and cultural event of the time. The hand colored plates are of very high quality and of great beauty.
