A couple of small tears and stains to the margins. Bright and cleab image area.

Jules Pelcoq was a painter, illustrator and caricature artist. He worked for several illustrated satirical journals. These journals were very popular in France, especially  in the 1860s and 1870s. Pelcoq also worked for "The Illustrated London News". To reach that newspaper during the siege of Paris in 1870, he used balloon post, which is known to be the earliest air mail.
