White cloth binding. Title and ornaments in gilt, blue and red at the front board. Gilt title at the spine. Plain white dust jacket. The atlas is in near mint condition. The dust jacket has saved the atlas. The dust jacket with some tears (one long tear), creases, stains and small losses. Preserved dust jackets are very rare to be found to any atlas.
A large and heavy thematic atlas covering just about every aspect of the state of swedish agriculture, population and farmlife at the begining of the 20th century The maps shows, for example, percentage of land under cultivation by wheat and other grains, the number of goats compared to the human population in a certain district or nationwide, the number of horses district by district, the history of the division of farm land, distribution of human population etc. A facinating read of a long gone society.The maps are beautifully printed in color.
